I found something strange today and thought it might be interesting for you.
I was up-rooting an old tree stump and buried in the ground next to it I found a small silver box with the words:
" Australian safety razor " etched on the bottom.
Inside the box were 3 coins-on the back there is a kangaroo and the dates 1942, 1943, 1944..
On the front is a male head-I can`t make out too many of the letters but it appears to say GEORGVIS and then AUSTRALIA. They are in rough condition.
Any thoughts as to why someone would bury them?
I know 1942 was war time-but I found them in Connecticut.
I love a good mystery.
If anybody else has any thoughts on this I would love to hear them.

And now for the GREAT NEWS .... (drum roll)
As of yesterday I have officially postponed my operation, which was supposed to be this Wednesday, May 7th, until the fall.
I asked all of the 4 doctors involved with the operation if I could do that because I am just now feeling some relief from last November`s `failed` ALIF (spinal fusion ). They all agreed that I could take a much needed break before going through it again in September.
So wish me luck and who knows, maybe I will cure myself before September. The way I have felt in the past two weeks is like a miracle, I`m not only getting out of bed but I have also gotten out of the house as well! I`m talking about shopping for several hours and then today, driving with Jodi to choose her new Yorkie pup in North Carolina. Maybe it was the excitement of the new "Grandpuppy" that made the eight and a half hour (round trip) drive a `breeze. Yes, I said eight and a half HOURS to just pick out the pup, we have to drive back in three weeks to pick her up. To tell the truth, the way I feel now I`d WALK that far for this little darling puppy and just to be able to "do it" without too much pain!
Well, I figured I`d give you all some good news for a change ... I guess now you`ll be seeing me around more often ... starting with chat tomorrow.
