Last time I did this, I found free spyware removal. Every program I have found now allows you to download and scan for free, but to remove it, you have buy the software. Anyone know a free service still and if not, can you recommend the best one to buy? Thank you in advance!!   1  littlebit 1/15/2007 7:11:58 AM Re: Spyware help Hi Trade, The online scan that is listed first in my spyware tutorial is an excellent source to use along with Spybot or any other spyware program. It will tag Microgaming as spyware, which it isn't, so just tell the scan to ignore that :>) Have you begun using Windows Defender? It's been pretty accurate also and is free from Microsoft. Always update your spyware programs on a regular basis or they soon become outdated. It was SpywareBot that I scanned for free and then found I would have to pay for the program if I wanted to remove the spyware... quite tempting since it found over 1000 items!! I don't know anything about Windows Defender... does it come with XP? If so, where do I find it? I will check out the rest of the links you gave as well.
