Onion Racing - So Fast Your Eyes Will Water

Conditions do apply.
The top three Onion Gamblers each week can win Bonus Deposits of up to $25 with our sponsoring casino.
There are eight Onions in every race. Available bet types are Win, Place, Exacta, Trifecta and Straight6. The winner of the race is the first Onion to cross the finish line. Place bets will be paid on the first three Onions to cross the finish line. Exacta will be paid on the first two Onions to cross the finish line in the CORRECT order. Trifecta will be paid on the first three Onions to cross the finish line in CORRECT order. Straight6 will be paid for selecting six straight winners of six consecutive races. There is also a special dividend for selecting four and five winners straight.
The win pool is a total of all members bets less up to 20%. The number of units (GG Points) bet on each Onion is divided into the total win pool to give an approximate dividend prior to the start of the race. Late betting may alter the approximate dividends.
The place pool is the total of all members bets less up to 20%. The number of units (GG Points) bet on each Onion is divided into one third of the place pool to give an approximate dividend prior to the start of the race. Late betting may alter the approximate dividends.
The Exacta, Trifecta and Straight6 pools are a total of all members bets less up to 20%. The number of units (GG Points) bet on the winning combination of Onions is divided into the total pools to give a final dividend after the race. If no winning bets have been placed the pools will Jackpot to the next race.
Displayed dividends are for one unit. A unit equals 1 GG Point. If you bet 10 GG Points on an Onion with an approximate dividend of 9 GG Points, your return on that winning bet would be 90 GG Points. Dividends are only approximate and may alter during the betting period.
Winning bets will be automatically credited to members accounts approximately 20 minutes after the start of each race. No bets can be cancelled once they have been placed. Up to a 20% deduction from each betting pool is retained by Gone Gambling to provide Bonus GG Points Jackpots for the Top Onion Gamblers Poll.
Place Your Bets - Watch The Race
Placing a bet is easy. Enter the Betting Shop and log in with your username and password. This will bring up a user friendly betting form which will allow you to place bets on the next current race. If you want to bet on a race other than the next current one, you simply type in the meeting number and race number that you would like to bet on in the fields provided on the form. You can place bets for several days in advance on all bet types except the Straight6.
To mark your selections simply place a tick beside the number you have chosen. You may bet on more than one Onion for a win or place. If you want to bet on number 4, 7 and 8 for a win simply place a tick next to each of those numbers on the win or place form.
For the exacta you will need to select two or more different Onions and place a tick in either the first or second placed column depending on which order you think they will finish the race in.
For the trifecta you will need to select three or more different Onions and place a tick in either the first, second or third placed column depending on which order you think they will finish the race in.
You are not restricted to placing single bets. You can place multiple trifectas or even box trifectas if you like. You can box three, four, five, six, seven or even all eight Onions if you have the GG Points to do so. To box three Onions simply place a tick beside each Onion in the first, second and third placed columns. Then it doesn't matter where it is placed you will have it covered.
For the straight6 you will need to select at least one Onion to win each of the next six races. You may select more than one Onion to win each race and this will increase the cost of your bet accordingly. Dividends are paid for selecting winners of the the FIRST four, five and six races from the first race the bet was placed on.
5% of the straight6 pool is set aside for dividends for selecting the first four straight winners. 20% of the straight6 pool is set aside for selecting the first five straight winners. 75% of the straight6 pool is set aside for selecting six straight winners.
Note: Dividends will only be paid for selecting four, five or six winners straight in CONSECUTIVE races starting from the first race that the bet was placed on. Having a ticket with the result of "win, win, win, lose, win, win" is a LOSING ticket. A winning ticket would need to be "win, win, win, win, lose, lose" or a better result. The best result only will be paid on each winning ticket. If you correctly select six winners you will only be paid your share of the straight6 pool. You will not be paid for also selecting four and five races correctly.
After making your selections you need to type in the amount you wish to bet and then click on the bet button. That's all there is to it. Just sit back and wait for the race to begin. There's one race every hour. To see the race you only need to click on the "Watch" link above the betting section.

GAIA is the judge. All race results will be carefully scrutinised by GAIA and regardless of what you think you saw, GAIA's decision is FINAL.
That said, it needs to be pointed out that the judge is completely impartial and has no prior knowledge of the bets placed. Sophisticated photographic equipment will be used in all races and every race will be recorded from start to finish.
Each race will be run with each Onion unable to interfere with any other Onion. A malfunction of the game will void all pays.
