They constantly look for a place that they can set one down with the least amount of damage and injury He stated that a lot of pilots wait until they have an emergency and then start looking and then it is to late Watched him talk two people down that had never flown planes and then one man in his 40's ( student )that was on his solo flight and froze up and would not land Gary told him you have done this 4 or 5 times already just do the same thing again. The guy would not do it just kept circling the airstrip Gar looked at his watch and then ask him how much fuel do you have and the guy came back with the amount Gary looks at his watch again and says ok here is the deal ,it is my lunch time Doc and I were on our way out You have enough fuel left to give us time to get to the Burger King and then you are coming down either under your own  power or none, but plane is coming down in about 6 minutes You decide how you want it to get down. We are going to eat , I can't do you any more good Finally the guy came down safely . Got out of the plane walked thru the terminal out the door to his car and left never said a word to anyone  We never saw him again. The plane was his purchased brand new . He never returned finally the airport sold it for hanger storage fees</blockquote>
