Friend Request not responding to "accept"

Good morning or afternoon or evening,

I was lucky enough to be asked to accept a "friend request", only when I click accept and "Save Changes" it doesn't process it...she still is not my friend.

IIRC there is a tiny box you have to tick before you accept and save
